Dornoch is actually one of the more open of the great courses: visitors are welcome seven days a week through an online booking system, with no ballot for a standard round. The exceptions are its Open Competitions, such as the Carnegie Shield, which are balloted with their own entry deadlines. Buggy hire is restricted to medical need, with a certificate and driving licence required. Scottish club members get 25% off but only after 2pm.
